    Constructed in 1893 as the Palace of Fine Arts for the Columbian Exposition,
    this classic structure later housed the Field Museum and finally served as home
    for the Museum of Science Industry.  The metopes were cast from the originals at London's
    Victoria and Albert Museum.

    Constructed in 1908 by St. Louis Architects Barnett Haynes and Barnett, the architecture of
    the Illinois Athletic Club brought the high style of the 1904 Louisiana  Purchase Exposition 
    to South Michigan Avenue.

    Gleaming white terra cotta covers the structure.  This image borders the parapet.  The building is
    attributed to Burnham Designer Frederick Dinkelberg. Dinkelberg went on to design the 
    Heyworth Building and 35 East Wacker, both in Chicago
